We are committed to handling your personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights available to you.

This Policy is issued having regard to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, Satpuda Retail Solutions (OPC) Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data described below, and you are the Data Principal.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the personal data we need for the purposes set out in clause 3:

  • Identity and contact data: your name, email address, and mobile number.
  • Order and delivery data: billing address, shipping address, PIN code, order history, and delivery status.
  • Payment-related data: where you are entitled to a refund on a Cash on Delivery order, the bank account or UPI details you provide to us solely for that refund. We do not collect or store complete payment card details; prepaid payments, where enabled, are processed directly by a third-party payment gateway.
  • Account data: your username and your password in cryptographically hashed form, and one-time login codes sent to your registered email address.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, or social media, and records of support interactions.

We do not collect any special category or financial data beyond what is described above, and we do not purchase personal data from third parties.

3. Why We Use Your Personal Data

  • To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and to arrange returns, exchanges, and refunds.
  • To create and administer your account, and to authenticate you at login.
  • To communicate with you about your order, including dispatch, tracking, and delivery updates.
  • To provide customer support and to resolve grievances.
  • To maintain records required under tax, company, and consumer-protection law.
  • To improve the Site, our product range, and our service quality.
  • To send you promotional communications, where you have consented — you may withdraw this consent at any time without affecting your ability to shop with us.

4. Consent, and How to Withdraw It

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account, place an order, or opt in to marketing communications, and for the certain legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as complying with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it: write to our Grievance Officer at support@kitmik.com stating what you wish to withdraw, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Withdrawal takes effect prospectively and does not affect processing already carried out. Please note that if you withdraw consent for data necessary to fulfil an order, we may be unable to process or deliver that order, and we may still retain records we are legally required to keep (see clause 7).

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember the contents of your cart, and understand how the Site is used. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect cart, checkout, and login functionality. Where we use analytics or advertising services, these may set their own cookies, as described in clause 6.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only as follows, and only to the extent necessary:

  • Courier and logistics partners — your name, address, and phone number, so that your order can be delivered and returns can be picked up.
  • Payment service providers — where a prepaid payment method is enabled, to process your payment securely.
  • Technology and hosting providers — our website hosting provider, and the plugin and platform services that operate the Site, which may process technical data on our behalf.
  • Analytics and marketing platforms — including Google services used to list and measure our products, which may receive technical and usage data.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where disclosure is required by law, by a court, or by a lawful request from a government agency, or to establish or defend legal claims.
  • Business transfer — if our business is merged, acquired, or sold, your data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as we are required to retain it by law. In practice: order, invoice, and tax records are retained for the period prescribed under applicable tax and company law; account data is retained while your account remains active; and marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw consent. Where personal data is no longer needed for any lawful purpose, we erase it.

8. Cross-Border Transfers

Some of our service providers — in particular hosting, analytics, and platform services — may process personal data on servers located outside India. Where this occurs, such transfers are made in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Central Government, and we require our providers to apply appropriate safeguards.

9. Data Security

We maintain reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. These include HTTPS encryption across the Site, hashed storage of account passwords, one-time-code login, access controls limiting who can view customer data, and regular review of the software we run.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected Data Principals in the manner and within the timelines required under the DPDP Act.

10. Your Rights as a Data Principal

Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed, and the identities of those with whom it has been shared.
  • Correction and erasure — have inaccurate or misleading data corrected, incomplete data completed, and data erased where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
  • Grievance redressal — a readily available means of raising a grievance with us, as set out in clause 12.
  • Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Withdraw consent — as described in clause 4.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in clause 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.

11. Children’s Data

Our products are intended for babies and children, but our Site is intended for use, and purchases, only by adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from a child.

Where you provide information relating to your child — for example an age range or size in order to select a suitable product — we use it only to fulfil and support that order. Consistent with Section 9 of the DPDP Act, we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact our Grievance Officer and we will delete it.

12. Grievance Officer and Escalation

If you have any question, concern, or complaint about this Policy or about how we handle your personal data, please contact:

  • Name: Kiran Patel
  • Designation: Grievance Officer, Satpuda Retail Solutions (OPC) Private Limited
  • Address: No. F-305, Vandana Amaze Apartment, Rajanna Layout, Bilekahalli, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka – 560076, India
  • Email: support@kitmik.com
  • Phone: +91-8618397937

We will acknowledge your grievance within forty-eight (48) hours and endeavour to resolve it within thirty (30) days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Act.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal data to them.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date, and material changes will, where reasonably practicable, be notified to registered customers.
